DIY Project
Corrections
You followed a step and something didn't match. Maybe the part looked different, or a number seemed off. Tell us. We fix mistakes in public, and this page shows how.
How to report a mistake
Tell us which page it's on and which step or section looks wrong. A sentence or two on what you expected to see helps a lot.
If you noticed it on a specific product or model, include the name. Manufacturers change parts, and that's often where a mismatch comes from.
Email hello@diy-project.com with the page, the step and what looked wrong. Every correction report gets checked.
What we do next
We check your report against the manufacturer's instructions and product labels. If we got it wrong, we fix the page.
Then we note the change and the date on the page itself, so anyone reading it later can see what changed. Big fixes also go in the log below.
If it's a safety issue, it goes to the front of the line. We'd rather pull a step than leave a risky one up while we check.
What counts as a correction
A wrong step, a missing safety warning, a bad measurement, a wrong part name, or an image that shows the wrong tool all count.
Adding a new fix to a guide counts too. We log those here so you can see how a page has grown.
Small things like a typo get fixed quietly. Anything that could change how you do the job gets logged.
Why we do this in public
We're asking you to trust our steps with your house. Hiding mistakes would break that.
So every change that matters gets a date and a note. Nothing to hide, including our own slip-ups.
