How to make it

Cut the center out of the plate, leaving a ring about 2 in wide.

  2. Step 2: Punch holes

Punch about 12 holes around the ring.

Wrap tape tightly around 1 end of the yarn. It works like a shoelace tip.

Tie the other end through any hole.

  5. Step 5: Weave the web
    5

    Weave the web

Let your child push the yarn through holes across the circle. Any order works. Webs are messy in real life too.

  6. Step 6: Add the spider

    Add the spider

Tie off the end. Glue a pom pom in the web and draw on 8 marker legs.

Edie's tip

Color the plate ring black or orange before punching holes. The white yarn shows up better.
