Fill each jar about 2/3 with potting mix.

  3. Step 3: Plant the herbs
    3

Gently loosen the roots and set each plant in. Press soil around it.

  4. Step 4: Label them
    4

    Label them

Stick on labels and write each herb's name.

  5. Step 5: Find the sun
    5

    Find the sun

Set them in a window with at least 6 hours of light.

  6. Step 6: Water carefully
    6

    Water carefully

Water when the top 1 in of soil is dry. A little at a time.

Edie's tip

Snip leaves from the top. The plant grows bushier when you do.
