How to make it

  1. Step 1: Trim the photos
    1

    Trim the photos

Cut each photo to 3 3/4 in square so a thin border of tile shows.

  2. Step 2: Glue them down
    2

    Glue them down

Brush glue on the tile. Press the photo on and smooth bubbles with a credit card.

  3. Step 3: Coat the top
    3

    Coat the top

Brush a thin layer over the photo. It goes on white and dries clear.

  4. Step 4: Add more coats
    4

    Add more coats

Add 3 more coats, 20 minutes apart. Brush each one the opposite way.

  5. Step 5: Let them cure
    5

    Let them cure

Wait 24 hours. Some glues need longer, so check the label.

  6. Step 6: Pad the bottoms
    6

    Pad the bottoms

Stick a felt pad on each corner so they don't scratch tables.

Edie's tip

Laser prints work best. Inkjet ink can smear when wet glue hits it.
