How to make it

Safety

Fold over pipe cleaner ends so no sharp wire sticks out.

  1. Step 1: Cut the strip

    Grown-up step: Cut a row of 6 cups.

  2. Step 2: Paint it

    Paint it

    Let your toddler paint it all over. Dry for 30 minutes.

  3. Step 3: Add antennae

    Add antennae

    Grown-up step: Poke 2 pipe cleaners into the front cup. Fold the ends over.

  4. Step 4: Draw a face

    Draw a smile and 2 eyes.

  5. Step 5: Go for a walk

    Go for a walk

    Wiggle it along the table together.

Cardboard cartons take paint well. Foam ones don't.
