How to make it

Safety

Keep paper balls fist size and take away any that get chewed.

  1. Step 1: Tape the frame
    1

    Tape the frame

Run tape across a doorway at toddler height in a big X, then a plus sign.

  2. Step 2: Flip the sticky side
    2

    Flip the sticky side

Add more strips going side to side with the sticky side facing out. That's your web.

  3. Step 3: Crumple the paper
    3

    Crumple the paper

Scrunch each sheet into a ball about the size of an orange. Let your toddler squish a few.

  4. Step 4: Show the toss
    4

    Show the toss

Throw 1 ball at the web. Watch it stick. That's the whole game.

  5. Step 5: Let them throw
    5

    Let them throw

Hand them the pile. Close up is fine. Every stuck ball counts.

  6. Step 6: Pull them off
    6

    Pull them off

Peel the balls back off together and play again.

Edie's tip

Draw a spider face on 1 ball and make that the one everybody wants to stick.
