  • 2 or 3 chunky toy trucks or carsFind it →
  • Tub of soapy water for the wheels

How to make it

Safety

Use chunky trucks with no small removable parts. Check that wheels are firmly attached.

  1. Step 1: Tape the paper down

    Tape the paper down

    Tape the corners so it stays put.

  2. Step 2: Spread the paint

    Spread the paint

    Spread a thin puddle of each color on its own plate.

  3. Step 3: Drive through

    Drive through

    Roll a truck through the paint. Vroom it across the paper.

  4. Step 4: Hand over the trucks

    Hand over the trucks

    Let your toddler drive. Crashes are encouraged.

  5. Step 5: Wash the wheels

    Wash the wheels

    Drop the trucks in soapy water when you're done.

Trucks with deep tire treads make the coolest tracks.
