How to make it

  1. Step 1: Age the labels
    1

    Age the labels

Print labels like Eye of Newt and Bat Wings. Dab them with the wet tea bag and let them dry wrinkled.

  2. Step 2: Grime the jars
    2

    Grime the jars

Brush a little brown paint on the shoulders and base of each jar. Wipe most of it off for a dusty look.

  3. Step 3: Fill them
    3

    Fill them

Fill each jar with something that matches its label. Moss for Toad Moss, twigs for Witch's Kindling.

  4. Step 4: Stick on labels
    4

    Stick on labels

Glue a label to each jar. Tear the edges first for an older look.

  5. Step 5: Tie on twine
    5

    Tie on twine

Wrap twine around the necks and knot it. Add a tiny tag on a few.

  6. Step 6: Group them
    6

    Group them

Cluster them on a shelf in odd numbers with different heights. Add a candle in a holder nearby for glow.

Edie's tip

Use battery tea lights inside the empty jars. They glow eerily without any fire risk near dry moss.
