How to make it

Safety

Use battery lights only, since real candles will melt the plastic.

  1. Step 1: Rinse the jug
    1

    Rinse the jug

Rinse it well and let it dry upside down. Old milk smells awful in a warm room.

  2. Step 2: Draw the face
    2

    Draw the face

Draw big ghost eyes and a mouth on the side opposite the handle. Make them dark and thick.

  3. Step 3: Cut a light door

    Cut a light door

Grown-up step: cut a 3 in flap in the back with a craft knife, so the light can go in.

  4. Step 4: Light it up

    Light it up

Switch on a tea light and push it through the flap. Line the ghosts up on the steps.

Edie's tip

Fairy lights make the whole jug glow. One tea light only lights the bottom.
