How to make it

Safety

Pony beads are a choking hazard, so craft away from babies and toddlers and tuck the wire ends in well.

  1. Step 1: Make a stopper
    1

    Make a stopper

Bend 1 end of a pipe cleaner into a small loop so beads can't slide off.

  2. Step 2: Pour the beads

    Pour the beads

Pour beads into a bowl so they don't roll away.

  3. Step 3: Thread the beads

Have your child slide beads on one at a time. Try a pattern like red, blue, red, blue.

Edie's tip

Pipe cleaners are stiff, so beads slide on without any needle. Great first threading project.
