    Warm the towels

Tumble them in the dryer for 5 minutes. Warm, fresh-smelling towels are lovely to hold.

    Set it on the table

Put the basket at the seat with a clear space in front of it.

  4. Step 4: Fold the first one together

    Fold the first one together

Fold one towel side by side, slowly. Then hand over the next one.

  5. Step 5: Say thank you
    5

    Say thank you

Thank them for the help, the way you would anyone who folded your laundry.

  6. Step 6: Unfold it later
    6

    Unfold it later

Shake the towels out and put them back in the basket for next time, out of sight.

Edie's tip

Any fold is a good fold. Never refold a towel in front of the person. It turns a calm job into a test.
