How to make it

Safety

Hot glue burns. Keep a bowl of cold water close, and tweens under 12 should have a grown-up run the glue gun.

  1. Step 1: Start the center
    1

    Start the center

Roll the rope end into a tight snail shape. Glue each turn as you go.

  2. Step 2: Build the base
    2

    Build the base

Keep coiling flat until the base is about 7 in across.

  3. Step 3: Turn up the sides
    3

    Turn up the sides

Start stacking the rope on top of the outer edge instead of beside it. Glue along the inside.

  4. Step 4: Keep going up
    4

    Keep going up

Coil until the sides are about 6 in tall. Keep the glue lines on the inside.

  5. Step 5: Make handles

    Make handles

On the last round, lift the rope into a 3 in loop on each side. Glue the base of each loop well.

  6. Step 6: Finish the end

    Finish the end

Cut the rope at an angle. Glue it flat on the inside.

Edie's tip
