How to make it

Safety

This dough is very salty and not food. Raw flour can make kids sick too. Watch for mouthing, and call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if they eat a lot.

  1. Step 1: Make the dough

    Make the dough

    Mix flour and salt. Add water, coloring and oil. Knead 2 minutes.

  2. Step 2: Mold the cake

    Mold the cake

    Press dough into the round container. Flip it out.

  3. Step 3: Add candles

    Add candles

    Let your toddler poke in the straws.

  4. Step 4: Sing

    Sing

    Sing happy birthday and let them blow.

  5. Step 5: Pull and redo

    Pull and redo

    Pull out candles and start over.
