How to make it

Safety

Marbles are choking hazards, so keep them away from kids under 3.

  1. Step 1: Split the tubes

    Split the tubes

Grown-up step: cut some tubes in half lengthwise with a craft knife to make open chutes.

  2. Step 2: Stand up the board

    Stand up the board

Lay the box flat against a wall or lean it on a chair. That's your run's back wall.

  3. Step 3: Tape the first chute

    Zigzag down

Tape the next chute below the end of the first, tilted the other way. Keep going.

    Test as you build

Drop a marble after each new piece. Fix any spot where it flies off.

    Add tricks

Add a full tube tunnel, a drop through a hole, or a cup at the bottom to catch it.

Edie's tip

Painter's tape lets you move pieces without tearing the cardboard.
