How to make it

Safety

Don't give honey to babies under 1, and use sunflower butter if anyone has a peanut allergy.

  1. Step 1: Wash hands
    1

    Wash hands

Everyone washes up. Your hands are the main tool.

  2. Step 2: Pour and measure
    2

    Pour and measure

Let the grandkids pour each ingredient into the bowl while you read out the amounts.

  3. Step 3: Stir it together
    3

    Stir it together

Mix until everything is sticky and even. Take turns stirring.

  4. Step 4: Chill the mix
    4

    Chill the mix

Put the bowl in the fridge for 20 minutes. It's easier to roll when cold.

  5. Step 5: Scoop and roll
    5

    Scoop and roll

Scoop out spoonfuls and roll them into balls between your palms.

  6. Step 6: Store them
    6

    Store them

Keep them in a covered container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Edie's tip

A cookie scoop with a squeeze handle measures each ball for you, which saves both time and sore fingers.
